8 Steps To Restoring Your Revoked License

When you have your driving privileges REVOKED, you can feel lost, overwhelmed and pessimistic.  How can you get/keep meaningful employment without a license?  Take care of children?  Accomplish the most basic of daily tasks, such as buying groceries, going to the doctor, running errands?  For many, the prospect of public transportation isn’t available, the cost of UBER is too high, and there just aren’t enough friends and family to rely on for daily transportation.

If you have suffered a revocation and don’t know the first step to restoring your driver’s license, contact an attorney for driver’s license reinstatement in Michigan. Daniel T. Geherin has dedicated his career to helping put drivers back on the road following a license revocation, and he’s recognized as a license appeals specialist in Ann Arbor and throughout Michigan.

Dan will review your driving record to determine when you’re eligible for a hearing; where that hearing will take place; and how best to implement a plan to restore your license.  If you’re not eligible, or not a good candidate, Dan and his team will honestly tell you and not charge you a penny.  If you’re eligible and ready to work hard to get back on the road, the firm will explain the steps; provide a written fee agreement with a transparent fee structure; and then start the process of restoration.

Here are some suggested steps for restoring a REVOKED driver’s license in Michigan:

  1. Go to a Michigan Secretary of State branch and obtain a current Master Driving Record (cost is approximately $8.00).
  2. Contact Dan and his team at MiLicenseLawyer.com, via email or phone (734) 263-2780.
  3. Be ready to openly, honestly and thoroughly discuss your background, criminal history, sobriety (if applicable) and readiness to get back on the road.
  4. If eligible and ready, discuss the transparent fee structure with the firm and think over whether you’re financially ready to move forward.
  5. Once you retain them, follow all of the firm’s advice on gathering and submitting paperwork and other evidence to the State.
  6. Be ready to work hard—this process is a two-way street requiring diligent effort on your part too!
  7. Attend a driver’s license revocation appeal hearing at the Michigan Secretary of State, at which you’ll testify about your suitability to restore your license.
  8. If all goes according to plan, go to a Secretary of State branch office, restore your license, and get back on the road lawfully and legally!

Over the last 20 years, Dan has won license appeals hearings throughout Michigan, and boasts a 98% success rate in winning license revocation appeals.  In the last 10 years alone, he has helped put hundreds of clients back on the road lawfully and legally. To prove that these results are legitimate, he even posts the case numbers of successful appeals on his website so that potential clients can see his extensive success.
